Public Workshop #2
Since last fall, the Planning Team has been busy reviewing results from the citizen survey and the first public workshop, and have developed draft recommendations and a proposed future development plan. These were presented on March 10, 2011, when citizens of Buda and the surrounding area met again at the Kunkel Room at Buda Elementary.
The citywide comprehensive plan is divided into several elements and a future development plan. Boards were set up around the room explaining the proposed ideas and concepts for the future of Buda. A presentation given by Jim Carrillo of Halff Associates detailed the recommendations. Following this presentation, citizens engaged in a discussion with their table to discuss the recommendations for each planning element, identifying those recommendations they feel are a priority, and any recommendation they feel, as a consensus among the table, does not advance the vision for the future of Buda.
